I bought a new TV this week Samsung UA60J6200, and set it up on the weekend. It all went smoothly, and successfully connected to my network. I watched some netflix then went to bed for the night.
In the morning I tried to turn it on and there was a network error. When i look at the network config, it has the MAC address all zeros 00.00.00. 'Invalid MAC Address, call Samsung support'. Well Samsung support have been less than useless, telling me to turn on and off my router and that ' the tv is given the MAC address by the router, so it must be a router issue'.
I use a Getflix DNS service to access US netflix. I had previously redirected the google servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 on my router so I could access US FLix on my PS3. I'm going to try to get rid of the DNS and unblock the google servers to see if that helps.
I have seen old threads in other forums dating back to 2011 on the issue, and I am at a loss. One suggested setting a static IP to the TV then setting it as a DMZ. This doesnt appear to have worked at all.
